Change goal

The Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Programme (CARP) is developed through participation of small and marginalized farmers, including women, and adopted by policymakers

Promoting the pro-poor agenda in macro-economic policies while negotiating trade agreements.

An effective national climate change plan is put in place to ensure equitable climate regime

Objectives

- To advocate for CARP to achieve a fairer distribution of assets, resources, work and income in the agricultural sector, with an emphasis on gender justice

- To protect Bangladesh's interest from IFIs’ policy imposition that affects national agriculture
- To ensure equitable income for marginalized rural men and women and other excluded groups, through a process of empowering them within diverse market chains through regulating agri-business

- To provide sustained supports on trade issues to national government, trade bodies and other stakeholders
- To ensure enhanced opportunities for women in formal and informal sectors to gain decent work and economic leadership in connection with international trade
- To safeguard micro, small and medium-sized national entrepreneurs in agribusiness

- To contribute with allies globally agreed solutions for mitigation activities from the part of major emitters that avert dangerous climate change impacts.
- To empower poor and vulnerable community and other stakeholders to raise their voices for equitable adaptation policies, compensatory fund and responses
- To advocate for preferential status to climate refugees towards migrating to developed countries

 



OBJECTIVE

AGRICULTURE

Specific Objective
Development of Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Programme (CARP) through participation of small and marginalized farmers including women and labours as well as  acceptance  by policymakers

Overall Objectives
1. Advocating for CARP to achieve a fairer distribution of assets, resources, works and incomes in agricultural sector, with emphasis on gender justice
2. Protecting country’s interest from IFIs’ policy imposition that affects national agriculture

Specific Objective
Promotion  and implantation of effective national climate change plan to ensure equitable climate regime

1. Contribute with the allies to globally agreed solutions for mitigation activities from the part of major emitters that avert dangerous climate change impacts.
